Parktown North Mica was founded in 2021 as a new store as part of the Mica Hardware family. The store is smaller than other Mica stores in the country but offers the same excellent products and services.
We are able to offer our customers a great range with our just-in-time inventory management and the support of the Mica logistic system. Our store has a learning-inventory system; thus as we operate, we learn and provide better services, faster to the community of Parktown and surrounding areas.
Parktown North Mica provides retail service to local buyers in the local community of Parks and also contractors who serve the area. We try to provide a better pricing option to the local community so you do not travel far to get your products in demand.
Our store is owned by two young engineers who live around the Parktown North community. Both partners have extensive experience in engineering and construction and believe in being socially responsible players in the area and within South Africa. They believe that the future of South Africa is in the hands of young South Africans. The average age of employees in the shop is below 30 years old and is happy to have hired people who live in nearby suburbs – because they too are part of our community. As part of our mission, we train apprentices and young talents who are passionate about construction. We hire them, train them and help them to start a career
Parktown North Mica also provides services to the community and the PNRA by sponsoring some projects. Our store is environmentally friendly and provides products that are ethically sourced and promote better preservation of the environment. We provide free construction consultation to the community too! If customers want, we will send a surveyor to their house/project to evaluate what should be done and advise for the optimum solution and better material to the customer.
Parktown North Mica is a boutique Mica, that blends in with the community of the Parks and its rich history. We pride ourselves on providing an exceptional customer experience when visiting our store. Our experienced staff and in-store specialists can assist customers with any DIY or renovation projects. We have got the knowledge and the products for any project. We provide small customisation, repairs and maintenance in the shop. We can cut materials to sizes that the customer wants and we can send a crew to help customers with installation at your property.
Our store also supplies gas for added convenience and offers free local deliveries within a 4km radius of the store.
